This is a close up shot of the right side mosaic mural leading up to The Land pavilion at Epcot. These murals are 134 feet long and are made up of 150,000 individually shaped pieces of marble, slate, granite, glass, and gold. They were created by Scharff and Scharff, the same father and daughter-in-law team who did the murals inside the breezeway of Cinderella Castle in the Magic Kingdom. The emerald green piece is the only difference between the virtually identical left and right sides adorning the front of The Land. It is said that this emerald is the birth stone of the Scharff who created the right mural, and this is considered the artist's "signature."
