DDW Pic 398. The American Adventure

The American Adventure
Happy 30th birthday Epcot! Back on October 1, 1982, this amazing park opened with the name Epcot Center. One of the opening day attractions was The American Adventure. The building was inspired by Indpendence Hall, Boston's Old State House, Monticello, and Colonial Williamsburg. Inside the 108,000 square foot structure is a 1,024 seat theater where guests can see a moving tribute to American history. This is a show that is not to be missed on a visit to Epcot!

  1. I don't think I ever went inside!

  2. Just based on the fact that I bleed Red, White and Blue I make a stop at the American Experience every time we are in EPCOT. It was 31 or so years ago when my family visited the Magic Kingdom. On the drive back to St. Cloud to my Grandparents home we saw the framework for the bottom 1/2 of Spaceship Earth and many mounds of dirt. It wasn't until September 2001 (2 weeks after 9/11) that I finally visited EPCOT for the 1st time! Memories that I will never forget! Thanks Dave!
