This shot at was taken last week at the end of Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood Studios. Prior to 2001, this was a totally different view. For the first 12 years of the park's existence, the Chinese Theater was what guests would see when standing in this spot. However, the Sorcerer's Hat became the new park icon in September of 2001. It completely blocks the view of the Chinese Theater and guests have to walk around it to enter the Great Movie Ride. The Sorcerer Hat was part of Walt Disney World's 100 Years of Magic Celebration and most people thought that it would be temporary. The fact that is has remained for more than a decade means that it is most likely here to stay!
