DDW Pic 639. Liberty Belle

Liberty Belle
The Liberty Square Riverboat attraction has been plying the Rivers of America since October 2nd, 1971. Since it opened on "day 2," it is technically not an opening day attraction. When it originally opened, the first boat was called the Admiral Joe Fowler. A second boat was introduced in 1973 as the Richard F. Irvine. That vessel was renamed the Liberty Belle in 1996, and is the one that guests still enjoy today. I snapped this shot a few months ago, just after she left the dock and headed towards Frontierland.
