DDW Pic 843. Roy O. Disney

Roy O. Disney
Today marks the 42nd anniversary of the passing of Walt's brother, Roy O. Disney. Roy was the unsung hero of the Disney company, and he was responsible for seeing Walt's dream of the "Florida Project" come to fruition. He died less than three months after the Magic Kingdom opened. The Disney company honored Roy in naming one of the park's steam locomotives after him. This "write-up" about the train is located on the wall of the lower level of the Main Street railroad station.
